Try a New Sport: Volleyball
Elena Rover, Author of The Chelsea Piers Fitness Solution
Volleyball , Chelsea Piers Fitness Solution , Try a New Sport Add commentsIt’s rare to grow up in the United States and never set foot on a volleyball court, since the sport is a classic choice in school PE classes. Not everyone has a good experience in P.E.—but if that includes you, don’t let it stop you from trying volleyball as an adult. It’s not unusual to find that your abilities and interest in the game improve with age.
Volleyball can be an intense exercise session. It’s a cardio fest that tones the legs and butt from jumping, diving and running—with added intensity if you play on a shifting surface of sand. Your arms, shoulders and upper back get strong and lean from hitting and serving. And twisting and blocking motions target the body’s core.

Nov 16, 2009 at 9:16 PM I am 30 years old and would like to learn to play volleyball. I have played on the beach a couple of times but have never taken classes.
Do you have a course I can join. If so how much does it cost and when does it take place?
