Community involvement is a cornerstone of our company’s core values.
With a deep commitment to bettering our community members’ lives, we work with a number of organizations including the Win Organization, Hudson River Community Sailing, Peter Westbrook Foundation, Ice Hockey in Harlem, Full Court Peace, Starfish Connection, and Rising Tide Effect to make sports more accessible to our local communities.
The Chelsea Piers Foundation
With the formation of The Chelsea Piers Foundation, we have introduced over 10,400 disadvantaged young people to an active and healthy lifestyle through over $5.3M in scholarships. And each summer, we offer 200+ free fitness classes in local parks and community spaces that are open to the public and serve around 8,000 people annually in the tri-state area. Within our fitness club and sports communities, we also run annual charity initiatives with organizations like Callen Lorde, Person-to-Person + Swim Across America.
The Chelsea Piers Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that provides children the opportunity to pursue their passion for sports, regardless of their family’s financial means.
Through scholarships and community partnerships, Chelsea Piers Foundation helps children develop important skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, and introduces young people to an active and healthy lifestyle.

A Supported Workforce
Our people have endless opportunities to get involved in the products we sell. All employees receive a complimentary or reduced-priced fitness club membership, plus meaningful discounts to children's programming and adult recreation.
To support our inclusion efforts, we partner with AHRC, an organization that helps people with disabilities find full-time work. We also work with WIN, the largest provider of shelter and supportive housing for New York City's homeless families, especially women and children, to provide employment opportunities to their residents.
Our Employee Experience Committee is front line to our employee culture, and are responsible for creating volunteer opportunities, engagement events, growth opportunities and more.

Chelsea Piers has made an increasing commitment to sustainability year-over-year to ensure that our community and spaces are safe, clean + friendly to the environment. Through our partnership with GoodEarth, environmentally friendly products, as well as streamlined supply chain operations, supports Chelsea Piers commitment to reduce its environmental footprint.
With our partners at Coke, we’ve made a commitment to remove all non-renewable plastics from our cafes and vending machines.
Our flagship facility is outfitted with solar panels that reduce our carbon footprint by 6% of the standard footprint. Through the addition of charging stations in our parking lots, and Citibike stations and bike racks at all facilities, we promote carbon-free (and healthy!) commutes for our community-members.

Through this partnership, we are committed to creating sustainable value by using high-quality, environmentally friendly products throughout our locations. GoodEarth shares our dedication to sustainability and operational excellence, ensuring that our facilities are equipped with the best supplies while minimizing environmental impact.
Together, we aim to enhance efficiency, support green initiatives, and provide exceptional service to our community. GoodEarth provides Chelsea Piers with product standardization across the portfolio of Fitness, Field House, Sky Rink, and Golf Club, ensuring the Chelsea Piers members enjoy the same quality products from Brooklyn, to Manhattan, and Connecticut.
